Starting a family and raising children is an amazing (but at times daunting) experience. And we recognize that with the current COVID-19 pandemic you may have a number of extra concerns. We are working very hard to ensure that we can do everything possible to support parents and parents-to-be.

We know that pregnant mums and parents of newborns rely on Baby Bunting to provide you with the essential items you need. We are committed to continuing to provide that service to Australian families and will be regularly updating the below information.

 

Our stores remain open, but we also ask that you consider the following options to shop with Baby Bunting:

  • Shop Babybunting.com.au - If you know what products you are after please order online for convenient delivery to your home.
  • Free No Contact Click and Collect - Order through babybunting.com.au from your nearest store for this free service. We will be able to load your purchased products into your car, once you have shown your Driver’s License and order to our team. * See below for more details.
  • Call our Customer Care Team on 1300 422 292 or visit Babybunting.com.au if you have any questions regarding products or shopping options.


Baby Bunting Stores are still open

Our stores remain open. However, where possible we strongly encourage you to shop online in the comfort of your home. We have free No Contact Click & Collect or you can phone your local store to No Contact Phone & Collect. Call ahead and we can bring your order out to your car if you prefer not to enter the store. Ask one of our Team for more details on how to do this.

 

The health and safety measures we have in our stores to protect our staff and our customers during this time

Our highest priority is the health and safety of our customers and our team members and providing a safe environment for everyone. Some of the things we are actively doing are:

  • We have increased cleaning and sanitization in all our stores.
  • We encourage everyone who is not feeling well to not come to our stores.
  • We ask both staff and customers to ensure that they are maintaining safe hygiene practices.
  • We are ensuring that the recommended distance of 1.5 meters between each person is being maintained in our stores.
  • We are implementing limits to the number of customers allowed in our stores at one time.
  • We are taking extra hygiene precautions when installing car seats

 

Only accepting EFTPOS payments

Until further notice, Baby Bunting now only accepts credit card and EFTPOS payments and no longer accepts cash transactions, unless in extenuating circumstances. Of course, we continue to have available Afterpay, Zip Pay and Zip Money as payment options. The decision to not accept cash is a further precaution to ensure the health and safety of our customers and Teams.

 

We are limiting the number of customers in our stores at any one time

While our stores are large and spacious, we have applied a maximum number of people that can be allowed into our stores at any one time. These can vary by store size and are posted on the entrance doors. Additionally, and to help everyone observe the social distancing guidelines instructed by authorities, we are asking that ‘no more than two’ people be in a group or family that visit our stores for assistance (excluding any dependent children that may be a part of that family or group). Our Teams are observing the 1.5-meter social distancing policy and we ask that you observe these guidelines as well.

 

Changes to product demonstrations of products in stores (eg Baby Carrier or a car seat)

Our Baby Bunting team love helping customers in any way we can, but unfortunately due to the safe distancing practices that we are vigilantly maintaining in stores, for the time being, we are unable to assist you directly with demonstrations that require us to be closer than 1.5 meters from you.
As a precaution, we have also stopped taking car seats out to customers’ cars during this time. We have our accredited fitters in store and we have our installation managers over the phone available to assist with any inquiries. We are also now asking that parents no longer place their children in any display product. Our Team will be happy to demonstrate and provide all the features and benefits of the products.

 

Change in Operating Hours

Our operating hours have changed. We have suspended late night trading and all stores will now operate from 9.00-5.30 Monday to Fridays, 9.00 – 5.00 on Saturdays and 10.00-5.00 on Sundays, except for South Australian and West Australian stores which will open from 11.00-5.00 on Sundays. Please check our website to confirm your local store’s opening hours

 

Free No Contact Click & Collect

Our existing Free Click & Collect service is still available for online orders and can be collected from our stores. For customers who prefer not to enter our store, we’ve added a Free No Contact Click & Collect service.
Once you place your order online, you’ll receive a notification advising you your order is ready to collect.


Follow these easy steps for our No Contact Click & Collect

1. Once you’ve received notification your order is ready to collect, head to the store and drive to the rear of our store where our loading area is situated.
2. Park in a safe spot and have the following information ready

  • Your online order number (this is on your confirmation email).
  • The name of the person who has placed the order.
  • Your driver’s license (We’ll need to sight this to confirm identification).

3. Call the store on the number to provide with the confirmation email and advise the Team member you are at the store waiting to collect your Click & Collect order.
4. A member of our team will bring your order to your car. Please have your driver’s license ready for our Team member to confirm your identification.
5. We ask that you open and close the boot of your car for our team members to load the product.
6. You won’t be required to sign our collection docket.

 

Free No Contact Phone & Collect

If you prefer not to come into our stores, you can conveniently browse our website from home. Call ahead to your local store where one of our team members will happily prepare your order ready for No Contact collection.
We can take payment over the phone once we’ve validated your identity. A member of the Team will call you on a valid mobile number to take payment.
Once payment is confirmed, you’ll be provided with an order number and you can now head to the store to collect your order.


Follow these easy steps for our No Contact Phone & Collect

1. Once your order is confirmed and is ready to collect, head to the store and drive to the rear of our store where our loading area is situated.
2. Park in a safe spot and have the following information ready

  • Your order number (this will be found on your emailed receipt).
  • The name of the person who has placed the order.
  • Your driver’s license (We’ll need to sight this to confirm identification).

3. Call the store on the number provided with the emailed receipt and advise the Team member you are at the store waiting to collect your order.
4. A member of our team will bring your order to your car. Please have your driver’s license ready for our Team member to confirm your identification.
5. We ask that you open and close the boot of your car for the team member to load the product.
6. You won’t be required to sign our collection docket.

 

Products which are not available for Free Click & Collect

Due to the increased demand for wipes, we have had to place a limit of 2 per customer when purchased in-store or online for home delivery. We are unable to offer a Click & Collect order for some of these items due to supply. We are working hard with our suppliers on stock availability.

 

Purchase limits on nappies and wipes

Due to the increased demand for these products, our stock is selling very fast. To allow everyone an opportunity to purchase essential items, we have placed some limits on the number of items that can be purchased in each transaction. Currently, these are: nappies (2 pack limit), wipes 400pk or larger (2 pack limit) and wipes under 400pk (4 pack limit).

 

Current delays for online deliveries

Baby Bunting is here to support parents with the products they need throughout their parenthood journey, and we understand that this is more important than ever at the moment.
We have experienced very high volumes of online orders over the last number of weeks and have increased our resources to ensure that we can fulfill them quickly. Our delivery partners, like Australia Post, have also experienced record demand which means there may be significant delays with your order arriving. Please allow up to 14 days for your order to be delivered.
With these delays, it has meant that we are receiving a lot of requests to our Customer Care team, who are working overtime to ensure that we get back to you with any information available. We do apologize if this takes a little longer than usual.
We continue to work with our delivery partners to ensure that we can get your order to you as quickly as possible and we thank you for your understanding.

 

Car Seat installation

For your peace of mind, and for your child’s safety, Baby Bunting and our child restraint installers Baby On Board can offer a no contact installation on all services. The installing team will have sanitizer and wipes on-site and will ensure all door handles and the fitting area are clean. They will be wearing gloves and will conduct any demonstrations outside of the car, on a table with a social distance of 1.5m. We request that customers are not in the car whilst the installer is working. No signature will be required at the completion of the installation.

Organizing a layby by phone

At Baby Bunting, we are committed to helping our customers in any way we can. Please feel free to call your local store if you know the products you need and we will happily be able to process the layby over the phone and email you a receipt.
You can also finalize the payment of your layby and go to the back of the store where we can put the products into your car so that you do not need to enter the store.
