Starting a family and raising children is an amazing (but at times daunting) experience, and we recognise that with the current COVID-19 pandemic you may have a number of extra concerns. We’re working very hard to ensure that we can do everything possible to support parents and parents-to-be.

We know that pregnant mums and parents of newborns rely on Baby Bunting to provide you with the essential items you need. We’re committed to continuing this service for Australian families and will be regularly updating the below information.

1. Purchase limits

Due to the increased demand for these products, we’ve placed some limits on the number of items that can be purchased in each transaction to ensure all customers have access . Currently, these are:

  • Nappies – 2 Pack Limit
  • Wipes 400pk or larger – 2 Pack Limit
  • Wipes under 400pk – 4 Pack Limit
  • Thermometers - 1 Item Limit

Please also note that in response to these unfamiliar circumstances, purchases of consumables (including nappies & wipes) and thermometers made after 18 March 2020 will not be eligible for change of mind refunds or exchanges.

2. In-store

Our stores remain open, however where possible we encourage you to consider other ways of shopping. You can shop online in the safety and comfort of your home. If you need to visit us in-store, please take note of the following:

In-store health and safety measures

Our highest priority is the health and safety of our customers and team members, and providing a safe environment for everyone. Some of the things we’re actively doing include:

  • We’ve increased cleaning and sanitisation in all our stores
  • We encourage everyone who is not feeling well to not come to our stores
  • We ask both team members and customers to ensure that they are maintaining safe hygiene practices
  • We ask both team members and customers to ensure they wear a mask instore where it is required (eg, in Victoria) or where it is recommended (eg, in NSW)
  • We’re ensuring that the recommended distance of 1.5 meters between each person is being maintained in our stores
  • We’re implementing limits to the number of customers allowed in our stores at one time in those areas where public health restrictions require. In some stores, there are limits on the number of customers allowed in particular areas at one time
  • We prefer cashless payments (credit card or EFTPOS). Afterpay, Zip Pay and Zip Money continue to be available
  • We’re taking extra hygiene precautions when installing car seats

Changes to product demonstrations

Our Baby Bunting team loves helping customers in any way we can. Unfortunately due to the safe distancing practices that we’re vigilantly maintaining in stores, for the time being we’re unable to assist you directly with demonstrations that require us to be closer than 1.5 meters from you.

As a precaution, we’ve also stopped taking car seats out to customers’ cars during this time. We have our accredited fitters in-store and we have our installation managers over the phone available to assist with any inquiries. We’re also now asking that parents no longer place their children in any display product. Our team will be happy to demonstrate and provide all the features and benefits of the products.

3. Car seat installations

For your peace of mind and child’s safety, our child restraint installers Baby On Board can offer a contactless installation on all services.

The installing team will have sanitiser and wipes on-site and will ensure all door handles and the fitting area are clean. They will be wearing gloves and will conduct any demonstrations outside of the car whilst maintaining social distancing.

We request that customers are not in the car whilst the installer is working. No signature will be required at the completion of the installation.

4. Contactless delivery

Our delivery partners now all support contactless delivery – with parcels will no longer require a signature for delivery or collection. Someone will need to be present at the delivery address for this to occur otherwise standard delivery procedures apply.

 

5. Contactless click & collect

Our existing free Click & Collect service is still available for online orders and can be collected from our stores. For customers who prefer not to enter our store, we’re now offering a free contactless Click & Collect service.

Once you place your order online, you’ll receive an email or SMS notification when your order is ready to collect.

Click & collect orders are generally ready to pickup in under three hours. Orders placed within three hours of closing time may be ready next business day.

Follow these easy steps for our Contactless Click & Collect

1. Once notified that your order is ready to collect, head to the store location and drive to the rear of the store where our loading area is situated.

2. Park in a safe spot and have the following information ready:

a. Your online order number (this is on your confirmation email)

b. The name of the person who has placed the order

c. Your driver’s license (We will need to sight this to confirm identification).

3. Call the store on the number provided in the confirmation email and advise the team member you are at the store waiting for your Click & Collect order.

4. A member of our team will bring your order to your car. Please have your driver’s license ready for our team member to confirm your identification.

5. We ask that you open and close the boot of your car for our team members to load your items.

6. You won’t be required to sign our collection docket.

6. Contactless phone & collect

If you prefer not to come into our stores, you can conveniently browse our website from home. Call ahead to your local store where one of our team members will happily prepare your order ready for Contactless collection.

We can take payment over the phone once we have validated your identity. A member of the team will call you on a valid mobile number to take payment.

Once payment is confirmed, you’ll be provided with an order number and you can now head to the store to collect your order.

 

Follow these easy steps for our Contactless Phone & Collect

1. Once your order is confirmed and is ready to collect, head to the store and drive to the rear where our loading area is situated.

2. Park in a safe spot and have the following information ready:

a. Your order number (this will be found on your emailed receipt)

b. The name of the person who has placed the order

c. Your driver’s license (We will need to sight this to confirm identification)

3. Call the store on the number provided with the emailed receipt and advise the team member you are at the store waiting to collect your order.

4. A member of our team will bring your order to your car. Please have your driver’s license ready for our team member to confirm your identification.

5. We ask that you open and close the boot of your car for the team member to load your items.

6. You won’t be required to sign our collection docket.

 

7. Contactless Layby

If If you’re unable to visit us, please call your local store if you know the products you need and we will happily process the layby over the phone and email you a receipt.

You can also finalise the payment of your layby and arrange to pick it up at the back of the store where we can put the items into your car so that you do not need to enter the store.
