WARNING:

A torn or broken dummy poses a choking hazard. Inspect carefully before each use. Pull the teat in all directions. Throw away at the first sign of damage or weakness.

A cord or ribbon attached to a dummy poses a strangulation hazard. Do not attach a dummy to your child’s clothing.

 

 

 Non-nutritive sucking can provide the baby with a sense of safety and security in between feeds. The familiar, instinctive feeling of sucking on a soother can quickly relax a baby when feeling unsettled.

NUK Soothers are modeled on a mother’s nipple as she breastfeeds and is asymmetrical in shape which is designed to give the baby's tongue enough space for natural sucking movements while the baglet is particularly thin and narrow to reduce the pressure on the teeth and jaws.

The NUK Shape was discovered by two German dentists over 60 years ago and we continue to work with medical experts today- doctors, orthodontists, midwives, pediatricians, and of course parents.

"For your child's safety: WARNING!" Inspect carefully before each use, especially when child has teeth. Pull the soother in all directions. Throw away at the first signs of damage or weakness. Only use dedicated soother holders tested to EN 12586. Never attached other ribbons or cords to a soother, your child may be strangled by them. Do not leave in direct sunlight or near a source of heat, or leave a soother in disinfectant for longer than recommended, as this may weaken the soother. In rare individual cases children manage to put the soother into the mouth completely. In such an event, DO NOT PANIC! Due to its special design, the soother cannot be swallowed and the two aspiration holes ensure sufficient breathing. Remove the soother from the child's mouth as gently as possible. For reasons of safety and hygiene, replace the soother after 1-2month use. Even without visible damage the stability of the soother may have been weakened. Do not dip the soother into medicine or sweet substances and do not lick the soother. Both can cause caries (tooth decay) to your child.
