Brought for peace of mind as a first time mum, had a few false alarms due placement etc. Had trouble connecting camera to wifi and it drops out from wifi sometimes. Otherwise helps me sleep knowing if sometimes wrong i will be alerted.

The idea is great but the implementation is poor and frustrating. The sock will not get measures if the baby moves, the consequence is a loud beep from the base station that will wake the entire house. And surprise surprise, the baby moves constantly. The connection between the sock and the base station is made through bluetooth which requires the base station to be close enough to the sock (baby), depending on the size of your house it may not work if the baby stays in a room and the parents in another room. Add to that the lack of a feature to control the base station volume or mute it permanently. Also, the base station glows a light that cannot be dimmed or turned off. Without using the sock you'll only have a regular camera with no other utility, buy a basic camera or a basic baby monitor and save your money. I just wanted to use the sock to monitor the baby sleep and eventually check its bpm and oxygen level without receiving false positive notifications that wakes my partner and me. The way features were implemented are annoying and not worth it. I believe most of these complaints could be solved through a firmware update but Owlet seems not interested in doing so, instead they release a new camera (gen 3) with the same flaws.

We bought the owlet dream duo 2 roughly 4 months ago. Here’s an honest review of the product suite: Sock w/ base station: 5/5 best and most reliable pieces in the suite. It does exactly as expected with very minimal false alarms (1 O2 misread in 4 months). Fits well, and doesn’t create any discomfort on our son. Bluetooth connection could be a little stronger, but still works across our home. Software / UI: 1.5/5 and would be lower if it didn’t have such a nice interface. Constant loading issues where you have to swipe out the app and reopen it multiple times to get the movement / stock readings to load. Then there’s constant interruption to the readings where it just loads for minutes at a time. I have extremely reliable internet so connectivity isn’t an issue. This is by far the worst part of this product. Cam 2: 3/5 decent quality but honestly it’s 2025 - camera quality should be the easiest upgrade to make. It feels like an afterthought because we are all probably buying for the wearable tech, not the camera. Also, The mic is extremely sensitive and the adjustments in the settings don’t work well. We bought a separate sound monitor to put in his room because if you use this mic, you will hear everything. even footsteps a room over through the walls. Not to mention how annoying it is to scan the qr code to set it up. Seriously, just use an authentication code… All in all, 3/5 stars. I wrote this because the Cam2 has been down for 3+ days and I don’t see any end in sight. There’s been no messaging on the bug until you dig into the FAQs. Seriously bummer. The wearable piece with the Bluetooth base station carries this product. Writing this last paragraph made me change my rating to 2/5.

Worked great for a week. Then the battery stopped charging. Tried all the troubleshooting ideas. Unfortunately they are only open 1 hour a day for business. So now it could be weeks before I get a new one. I’d stay away.

the camera is always showing offline!!! and the video is delayed by 3 second so annoying!! so much cheaper and better options available!!!

I bought this for our nursery. It is our first baby so you know we’re paranoid about the unknown. This was marketed as the best thing since sliced bread. However I am not impressed first of all the sock never reads the babies information instead just beeps and send loud alerts randomly and secondly the camera never works or stays connected. We have the best internet money can buy as my wife works from home and it calls for it yet the camera is the only thing that never stays connected I have have to unplug and plug it back in at least once a week. We ended up buying a whole another baby camera because this one cannot be trusted. For the price point this item is trash.

The Dream Sock was a total game changer for our peace of mind. I was constantly waking up to check if my baby was breathing. Every little sound or silence had me on edge. I finally felt like I could relax. It tracks heart rate and oxygen levels, and the app makes it so easy to check in without disturbing baby. The peace of mind it gave me was priceless. If you’re dealing with that middle of the night anxiety, this is 100% worth it. I now have a 2 year old so it's been a while since I've used the sock but with another one due in October I'm not dreading the night time anxiety.

I could not survive without this! I have terrible anxiety and I couldn’t sleep when my first son was first born. Then entered the Owlet MY HERO to a restful sleep. I was finally able to sleep without constant fear of my son not breathing. This tiny device saved my son so many times when slight mishaps would happen: he would roll over on his belly, etc. it also helped notify us that he needed to go to the hospital when he had severe croup and wasn’t getting enough oxygen. I have used the owlet with all my children and will continue to do so and recommend it to all my family and friends. I cannot say enough good things about this product and the customer service. It is worth every penny especially if you are anxiety prone like me!

As first time parents , you can only imagine how paranoid we were ! The owlet dream sock gave us a complete peace of mind. Being able to see and understand the vitals were crucial. It alerted us that oxygen level was getting low and all we had to do was reposition our baby and it went back up ! We also Love the temperature feature ! It helped make sure the room was always the perfect temp for our baby. I do recommend!

Bought the Owlet sock and Cam as a first time mom and I swear by it every night! Gives me so much peace of mind sleeping with his sock on and love that I’m able to track his sleep sessions. Recommend this products to any expecting mothers. If you’re thinking about getting it, GET it. Worth every penny.

As a parent who started with the original Owlet sock nearly a decade ago, upgrading to the DUO with CAM 2 for our second child was an easy decision. The system combines a quality camera with the smart sock technology I already trusted, and the improvements over the original were clear. The well-made system and user-friendly app provided peace of mind through two more children. Even after our youngest outgrew the sock, the camera continues to function as a great monitor in our boys' room, providing helpful temperature and humidity data. My only minor wish is for a separate way to view the temperature, but app notifications work well enough. Overall, we are very pleased. The Owlet DUO with CAM 2 offers excellent long-term value, lasting through multiple children and converting into a reliable room monitor. For parents who want a data-driven, user-friendly system that grows with their family, I highly recommend it.

I had this camera and sock on my registry and it was the most important/ best gift I received. It was the most expensive but it is well worth my mental health. After my first baby passed away from being born early my anxiety was through the roof with my next pregnancy. Once I got to bring him my rainbow baby it was a little less nerve wracking but this camera and sock have helped me so much and I will use this up until my baby is to big for it. I wish they made one for toddlers as they get older. Anyways I was not paid for my review and just wanted everyone to know how great this product is!

I would HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone with a newborn or small child! My daughter struggles with upper respiratory illnesses and this product (specifically the dream sock) has helped me determine when she needs my help or not. The graphical history and instant feedback for heart rate and O2 level have helped A TON. Very thankful.

I have been using the Owlet for 8 months now, and I LOVE it! It has given me peaceful nights of sleep (the nights my baby actually sleeps). I have peace of mind, HOWEVER, after a recent update, it has been extremely annoying in that when my baby is just about falling asleep the alarm will go off saying that there is a sock placement issue. Baby has been mostly still the entire time, or rather no major movements, but as he drifts off, there goes the alarm. So I'm some ways, it has also created some sleepless nights. Please fix whatever it is you have done wrong! Would still definitely recommend the Owlet dream sock, not so much the camera. Also to note, the velcro on one of the socks is already falling off and we've only been using it for about 4 months now.
