Smells
byI am quite disappointed as assumed the product would be baby safe, but I had to take them down due to a strong plastic smell which cannot be healthy to breathe in.

byI followed the instructions and the blockout blinds just fell down. I am really disappointed I bought 2 packs of 3 rolls so I spent a lot of money! Save yourself just spray the windows with water and use tin foil - that’s what I was doing before and it was better.

Not worth it
byBeen using for 2 weeks, have had to reapply twice. The longest it stayed up was 6 days. I have only used a single cut piece and it shrunk more that 5mm, closer to 15mm. Was simple to apply and great blockout when it's up but not the level of ongoing maintenance I was looking for. I had hoped the other reviews were just some user error.... What do I do with the rest of the rolls?

Great but nowhere near enough
byI ordered a pack of two rolls in a hurry and thought it would be more than enough after buying a similar product from a different brand two years ago. Now in order to not waste what I already have, I likely have to purchase 2 x 3 roll packs. Going to end up being a small fortune. These rolls are for small windows.

byDefinitely block out the sunlight and a fair bit of the heat. The edges to curl though and it is hard to stop light coming in when you have a large window and are layering on top.

Pretty bad on exposed north facing windows
byPretty bad on exposed north facing window, even in winter when the sun is not too hot. If you fit them snuggly to the frame, they shrink and you soon have gaps. If you allow for the 5cm allowance recommended then the pieces do not stick well, let light through the edges and fall off. I'm sure this would work better on windows that don't receive as much direct light though.

Amazing purchase

1. Measure the width and length of your window.
2. Add 2CM to each measurement and cut sheets to appropriate size. This will ensure you don't accidentally under-cut and end up with a gap.
3. Using a spray bottle or a damp cloth, apply water to the window.
4. Peel the blockout from the storage sheet.
5. Gently apply the shiny side of the blockout to the window at the desired height, and smooth the rest of the sheet down with your hand.
Air bubbles? Don’t stress, either smooth using a credit card or simply peel off and start again.
