The Matilda Tonie product received mixed reviews. Many customers praised the engaging storytelling and accurate adaptation of the classic Roald Dahl story, noting it encourages reading skills and allows children to enjoy the story independently. Great narration, but extremely abridged.
The narration of this book is great, but we own the audiobook, and expected that like other books, Charlie and the chocolate factory for example, it would be the whole book, but it's not. It's about a quarter of the length of the unabridged version.
Not whole book
Very disappointed as my son loves to follow along with the book but unfortunately this is not the whole book, it's an abridged version which is not made clear when purchasing. Such a shame as this was one of my favourite stories as a child and was looking forward to sharing it with my son
Great Tonie Story
I bought this about a month ago. It was on sale and my 6 year old has listened to it every night at bedtime since she got it. I really like the longer stories because it helps my daughter fall asleep while listening to the story.

Amazing
We were given this as a present for our daughter. It is an abridged version but it’s still brilliant. Kate Winslet does a wonderful job reading it and it’s easily our girls favourite.

My daughter got this for Christmas in her stocking and LOVES it. It has a long running time so loads to listen to. She lives the storyline too and hasn't actually seen the movie or read the book yet.

Dissapointed that this isn't the complete Matilda story as per the book, with key parts of the story missing. It wasn't made clear on the description that the story was abridged. Very disappointed that Tonies didn't state this.

Our family loves this story, it’s great for my nearly 6 year old as she enjoys the longer stories and would happily sit colouring/playing for an hour or more with it on in the background.

Fantastic
I absolutely loved anything Roald dahl as a kid so definitely going to try to get my daughter into it, I know the books are British but after many years spent watching the film I was surprised they all had northern accents, but it definitely gives it a more homely feel when listening. I really love this one definitely one of the favourites

My daughter loves her Matilda Tonie. I love listening to it with her as her mom also! We're a Roald Dahl family and I love that I get to share this story with my little one who also loved the movie.

Great narration, but extremely abridged.
